Gather Family Events Where the Trail Leads Summer Family Gathering

Everything you need to host a meaningful, beautiful, faith-based family gathering!

The gatherings are organized into stations. This offers directors and principals the chance to use the activities from start to finish, or to pick and choose the ones that best fit their needs. We have tried to include everything (and more!) to make this resource as easy to use as possible.

The ultimate goal is for families to have a positive experience at church or school while sharing their faith together. All of these experiences have been successfully completed with real families in all types of church and school settings.

This gathering is all about the great outdoors, perfect for summer! All the activities reflect this theme and point to the trail we are each on heading to a life with Jesus forever.

The five interactive stations include: 

• Tent - a prayer experience about the tabernacle
• Lantern - a craft focused on Jesus as the light of the world
• Family Map - prompts for family conversation and reflection
• Picnic - a memory game as an invitation into memorizing simple scripture verses 
• Fishing - a simple snack to reflect on Jesus' call to be fishers of people
• Knots - a closing prayer experience
