Beneath the floorboards of G. K. Chesterton's home, a thrilling pursuit is about to unfold...
Sister Seraphina is pleased that everything is ready for the school fair. But when the prize cheese goes missing, the Sisters of Our Lady Star of the Sea and their brave students will need all their detective wits to solve the mystery. With a little literary inspiration from their upstairs neighbors, can they band together to solve the case―and save Saint Wulfhilda's School? This is the first book in The Sister Seraphina Mysteries series.
The Sister Seraphina Mysteries by award-winning author Haley Stewart and illustrator Betsy Wallin is a read-aloud series for children in the tradition of the Catholic imagination of G. K. Chesterton and the whimsy of Beatrix Potter. Each hardcover, charmingly illustrated volume delivers mystery, adventure, a cast of lovable characters, and a Catholic worldview that celebrates faith and virtue.

My grandson loves it My four year old grandson was at a Catholic bookstore with me and pointed to these, asking for the one he didn’t have yet! I took a look and fell in love… and my daughter said he loved the one they had at home. So creative and cute!
Great Read Aloud Mystery. If your children love to solve mysteries, this is a perfect family read-aloud story for primary grades. They will be mesmerized by the abundant colored illustrations throughout the book (even in the inside covers). There are lots of tongue twister names and Catholic words, but there is also a great glossary in the back that parents can refer to. It's nice that there is a short bio on G.K. Chesterton, as well. Fun family mystery.
Great Read Aloud Book for Primary Grades. If your children like to solve mysteries, this clever, whimsical story is for them. The colorful illustrations are so detailed and amazing, intriguing the little reader to stop and look at the pictures as much as reading the book. I find it better as a read-aloud book for primary grades, as there are some rather lengthy, tongue- twister names (it's easy to get the characters mixed up), as well as unfamiliar words. The glossary of "Catholic" words in the back will help parents encourage their child to use as a reference. It's also nice that there is an introduction to G.K.Chesterson.
