Clare had everything a young girl could want: wealth, a loving family, and a handsome nobleman who sought her hand in marriage. But Clare had heard a young man named Francis speaking about the love of Jesus. She wanted to share in the poverty of Christ and serve the poor, just like Francis—and she could not do that as the wife of a nobleman. That left Clare with only one option: to run away.
Follow Saint Clare of Assisi as she runs away from the only life she has ever known and opens up a radical new path of holiness for women as foundress of the Poor Clares. This remarkable story of courage, faith, and selfless love comes to life in this vibrantly illustrated, full-color Shoujo-Manga style graphic novel. Winner of an Association of Catholic Publishers (ACP) Excellence in Publishing award. Ideal for ages 10 to 14.

Inspiring! Bought this for my 8 year old niece and she was so inspired she decided to dress up as St. Clare for All Saints' Day. For a while there she was never without this book and has only put it down to read the graphic novel on St. Teresa. This is a winner.
Couldn’t Put it Down! Groundbreaking new style of Christian storytelling using graphic novels to depict the life of saints that I have now fallen in love with. I oo-ed and ah-ed as I came to know more and more about Clare and her amazing accomplishments as a woman of the 1200s. I would highly recommend to my best friend and all ages. I’m 25 and I certainly wasn’t too old for this book. It’s written for all ages, graphic novels are just a literary artistic style not solely for children’s entertainment. You’ll love it and Clare!
The life of Saint Clare of Assisi in pictures. All three of my daughters, aged 8, 10, and 11 have read this book again and again. I have purchased many children's books on saints and of our faith over the years and this is one that they all come back to.
My daughters love this book! This much-loved book has been read over and over at my house. Clare's life is presented in an engaging and meaningful way which my daughters love. I'm buying another copy as a present for a 6th grader who is coming into the Church.
