The Journey of Faith Series Journey of Faith for Easter and Pentecost (Leader's Guide) Creating a Sense of Belonging Between Young People and the Church 

The Journey of Faith series is designed for ministry with the younger adolescent, roughly ages 10 to 13, and is based on a seasonal model of ministry developed in response to requests from our partners in ministry.

The Pray It! Study It! Live It!®: format in each chapter addresses the need for younger teens to learn about their faith and offers a variety of suggestions to help this age group participate in parish community life. Activities introduce participants to parish ministry and involvement through active parishioners who are willing to share their experiences and motivations with the younger generation.

These seasonal resources attend to the developmental needs of younger teens and focus on helping young people recognize their faith as relevant to their lives.

Make Easter and Pentecost meaningful for young people. Help them experience the joy and celebration of the Easter season, and cheerfully proclaim, "Alleluia! He is risen!" Bring the Scriptures alive and give young adolescents creative ways to explore, pray, and reflect on the salvation story, so they are able to focus on the profound mystery of God among us.

This leader's guide has nine faith sessions, as well as an extended session, to help young people enter fully into the expectation and the joy of the Easter and Pentecost seasons. In addition to its fully developed sessions, this guide has strategies for encouraging real participation in the liturgical and community life of the parish as it ritualizes and celebrates the Easter season.
