What is more important to us as catechetical leaders than finding effective ways to bring parents into the process and helping them succeed? Here at Growing Up Catholic this isn't just a belief but an absolute passion!
Whole Family Catechesis happens in place of the regular religious ed classes at the parish (bringing parents and children of all ages together) or during special "whole family gatherings" for the families of Catholic School children. We provide here the outline, handouts, and talking points to help you succeed.
8.5 X 11" -- each about 20 pages in length. Handouts are reproducible. Outlines and worksheets to help you coach parents to form their own children.
- These outlines and worksheets are reproducible and ready to use. They come to you as PDF files. All the handouts, prayers, and other elements you need are provided.
- The dismissal of young children is also presented only as an option, for those who want it.
- This coaching happens in Whole Family Catechesis sessions, where the households sit together and the parents work directly with their own children. Special attention is paid in these to non-Catholic parents, to families with children in more than one age group, and to households which are not regularly active in parish life.
- These outlines can be easily tailored to correspond to each of the major religion programs in use in the Church.
