Blessed James Alberione: Media Apostle Encounter the Saints Series

From a young age, James Alberione was convinced that God was calling him to be a priest. But after being ordained, receiving a doctorate in theology, becoming a spiritual director, teaching history, and serving as an associate pastor, James still felt like God had something more in store for him. He eventually discovered a "call within a call" when he realized that the media—especially the printing press, radio, and film—were powerful ways to spread the Gospel. James went on to found ten religious congregations and institutes, including the Daughters of St. Paul, to evangelize the world after the example of Paul and through the most effective forms of media. 

Recognized by Saint John Paul II as the "first apostle of the new evangelization," Blessed James Alberione remains a timely and prophetic figure and a powerful intercessor for today's media-saturated world.
