The psalms always hold a heart-centered power for all people who honor the Word of God. They possess the entire galaxy of spiritual, human and emotional grace and agony for all who pound the pilgrim path. In “My Heart is Ready,” David Haas brings his own heart and prayer journey to these most ancient and blessed prayer-poems. In these pages, David takes on all 150 psalms (some of them more than once) and offers a fresh and expanded path for the prayer lives of all believers. Here he calls them “psalm-poems” that be used for communal and personal prayer; for spiritual direction and retreat ministry; and for the sustained journey for those seeking life, wisdom, light and grace from these precious prayers and proclamations of our faith.
