A user-friendly and accessible 48-page full-color book with ample space for candidates to write.
Gifted by God is a family-friendly, contemporary program to prepare tween or teen candidates for the sacrament of Confirmation. It provides parish catechists with everything they need to deliver the program with ease and confidence. This program includes six sessions on living out a Christian life and the sacraments with an end-of-session retreat. It provides flexible lesson plans that are easy to share with the diverse groups of candidates and in a variety of settings and time frames.
In addition to the leader’s guide, this candidate’s book leads teens through the major principles of their faith. Through reading and reflection, youth will learn more about Confirmation and their vocation to live their faith and serve God’s people. The candidate's book leads teens through the major principles of their faith and is specifically structured for the context of preparing for confirmation through reading and reflection.
This full-color journal also includes laminated cards that will reinforce what the student learned in the preceding session, as well as involve the whole family in the candidates' immediate preparation. The six sturdy double-sided "talk tags" can be attached to a zipper on a coat or a backpack using the provided carabiner. One side has the FACE2FACE conversation starter for candidates to share with their parents and caregivers. The other side has the TECHtalk for those who wish to extend their experience by going online.
